Default Motorhome wax

I just learned that I am not suppose to use carnuba wax on my motorhome. The story I get is that over time the carnuba wax will penetrate the fiberglass and cause it to yellow. The manufacture said that they use "Mothers California Gold". Do you have anything without the carnuba in it?

"Mothers California Gold" IS a carnauba wax. I think someone was feeding you bad information about carnauba penetrating fiberglass.

Boats are usually fiberglass, and they're waxed frequently, as are Corvettes and other vehicles.

But, if you're looking for a product that's not carnauba based, try our FX line - SynWax is a synthetic wax that's exceptionally easy to remove - which would be a bonus when working on lots of square footage like your motor home.

Thank you for your reply. I just didn't see how any wax would penetrate the clear coat to reach the fiberglass. It didn't make sense to me either...The information came from the manufactures quarterly magazine.

If you would PM me the name of the magazine (first or second quarter?), I'd love to look it over.

The article came from a magazine that Tiffin Motorhomes publishes. It is called "Roughing It Smoothly", Volume 7, Number 2, starting on page 16. Article by Mary Findley. If you can't locate a copy, I can copy the article and snail mail it to you.
