Does anyone use those small, roller work seats/chairs when detailing?

You better believe it! After a while my back or knees start to kill. If it wasn`t for those things, my mornings would be worse than they are now. I also do a lot of planes and degreasing the bellies would take forever if not for the creeper. Now if they would just make one that moved by an electric motor.
I treat them all like they are my very own.

    YES!!!

I use one and would be in a world of hurt without it!!

I got one for like $20 at Walmart, it has a pneumatic adjuster for height and 6 wheels. I can swivel around and move very well. It made a big difference. I also have a mechanics laydown creeper that I use when I am really working on some lower rocker panels!!!

I got one that is a mechaincs chair. What I like about it is you have a tray on the bottom that you can put product in. Best of all you are at the level of the cars side so you really can see of you are missing anything.
The best thing is that it saves your back, you can put your elbos against your inside knee for real press where needed.

The only draw back is keeping the cord from the buffer out of the way.
