    Tree Sap??

I have a car to do later this week, that has been pelted with tree sap. Its a rag top the vinyl type,
My approach is to use clay to get the sap off, but wondering about the top and what to use?
I`m guessing APC but then I`ve not had much experience with tree sap!

    Thanks

A 99 cent bottle of Alcohol from the local drug store should do the trick for removing the sap. Try it in an inconspicuous place first to check for colorfastness.

I agree with Dr Detail about the alcohol. I have also heard that the "green" alcohol works better. I don`t know why. Also Ardex Labs sells something called SAP. It is under $10 for a big bottle and I think it is basically alcohol but it`s made from a detailing supply company rather than rubbing alcohol out of your medicine cabinet.

try Xenit Citrus Cleaner from Stoner, i swear by it, try it in a small area first, i dont think it wil harm the ragtop.

If the Alcohol doesn`t do the trick you might try some Naphtha -- commonly sold as Zippo Lighter Fluid, once again test first for colorfastness in an inconspicuous place.
