    Wheels

Whats the best way to clean wheels? BMW wheels get this thick black coat of dust that even with hard rubbing, will not come off!!! Whats the best stuff to use? I LOVE mcguires gold glass wheels cleaner, but is this safe to use on all wheels?

im too scared to use anything but apc on wheels anymore .. i did an acid wash on a car to remove real bad waterspots and some of the acid got on the wheels ..thank god for mothers aluminum polish ..thats the end of my acid washing days way too risky ... id rather scrub a little than buy a set of wheels ..:wait :bigscream :doh :nono :naughty :boohoo :flameon :stupid

I`ve used Poorboys S&W on my rims with great success, but I haven`t had caked on dust that you`re describing. Figured S&W is strong enough to dissolve dirt, but safe enough not to damage the wheel.

Eagle One A2Z works well for brake dust. Nevertheless, take care not to let it dry on your wheels.

Acid wheel cleaners are fine if there specially formulated for wheel cleaners etc. I dont know of anyone that acid wash`s there paint to get rid of water spots. But APC`s work well with a little scrubing also check out www.topoftheline.com and there wheel wash its great and acid free and works well.

All purpose cleaners IE Meguiars APC+, 4* White lighting etc. I would got for top of the lines wheel wash it works the best for the application you want and its acid free and is safe on all types of wheels.

I personally like the eimann fabrik Hi-Intensity, it is pretty inexpensive, and works great. I also use old clay to remove any really stubborn brake dust or tar that is embedded in the wheels (especially on the intricate ones that are hard to get brushes into)
