    Souveran/Klasse Kit sequence of use?

I have a 1991 Nissan 300ZX TT that has been washed and waxed religiously in the 1.5 years I`ve owned it but I want to take the exterior finish to the next level. It has some "new" paint (Oct`03) on the hood and front fenders.

My kit contains the following products; Mother`s Carnauba Cleaner Wax, Mother`s Showtime Instant Detailer, Klasse All-in-One, Clay Bar, Pinnacle Crystal Mist and Natural Brilliance Souveran paste.

I know this is likely a detail "101" question, but in my search of the site I did not find any FAQ that address how to best use these products and what sequence to apply them.

    Any input would be appreciated.

Welcome to DC. I have never used Mother`s Carnauba Cleaner Wax or Mother`s Showtime Instant Detailer so i wont comment on them. I would think, however, that they are not quite as nice as AIO or Souveran. To answer your question i would wash, clay, AIO, Souveran. If you have considerable swirls a good polish would be needed as AIO is great as a pre cleaner not so great as a swirl remover. I hope this helps a little. BTW, 300ZX is a great car. I almost bought a new 350Z but ended up getting a g35 coupe instead.good luck:beer

I`m not an expert but I have opinions Lots of them

The pattern you want is to clean, then polish, then protect. For you with your kit, clean would be wash and then clay.

Next you would want to use one of your cleaner waxes - that is either Mother CCW and Klasse AIO which are both cleaner/polish/waxes. AIO has an excellent reputation for being a great cleaner and prepping the surface for another product. I would tend to use AIO after the clay. It should leave you a shiney clean surface for your Souveran. However, the Mothers CCW is a similar type of product so try that on a section too. You might prefer the look better. :dunno If you want to use the both, i would try AIO first with CCW on top of it.

Which ever you use, you`d want to top it with Souveran. That`s the crown jewel in your kit.

Instant Detailer and Crystal Mist are similar quick detail sprays that you would use after washing to "revive" your Souveran.

If you don`t get the results you hope for, you might need to add a polish to your arsenal something like the Poorboys SSR1 or PP or PWC, or Meg`s # 9 or Menzerna FP. You would use this after the clay and before the cleaner wax. The polish will help prep the surface and make it shine. If you have scratches or swirls You might need an even stronger polish.

There was a nice thread posted earlier today Detailing according to ... good read. :mohawk
