Exclamation SMALL PICTURES!2nd try! after pics 98 Arctic silver BMW

OK here are pic`s you won`t need 60 in screens to view them on

1st off thanks to everyone that gave me advice. My initial results were not what I expected though. I figure I used to much or not enough product or maybe just the wrong combo of pads? Anyway what I did was:
    Dawn wash
    clay
    re wash
    3M finesse it II SMR
    UPPC
    UPP
    Carnuba topper
While it looked Ok it did not really "Shine"

I took a week long trip, drove about a 1000miles through the rain etc came home and did a normal wash, UPP and Carnuba> I took my time with the PC and really worked the product this time, since I destroyed my yellow pad the first time out and the white one did not seem to be abrasive enough I did the whole thing with the red pad? Don`t know if that was the right thing to do however the end result was much better than the 1st time! As always comments and suggestions are welcome. Sorry if the pictures are big, I took them today at the "Residenz" in Wurzburg Germany, Very nice place.

    Gotta love Volvo

About the pads, you destroyed the yellow??? :wait

That`s perhaps the most important, as the red will leave marks, maybe not on your color car, tho.

Just make a new procedure (I`m sure you have the time).

2 x UPC w/ yellow or white pad (to CLEAN it all)

3 x UPP w/ white or by hand (24 hours between coats)

Another coat of UPP every 2 weeks or so.

Hey Balucanb, is that a German spec BMW? I was just a young PFC when I was there in 1989. I couldn`t afford to go that fast...:shift

JGV, see now I will have to post a new picture once I do the chip tuning!!!!! Yes I somehow have destroyed 2 of the 3 pads?! The yellow one`s center got ripped out and the backing from the red one has come off!! Maybe i got some pads that were made on a Friday!! Guess I will need to get some more huh.
RTBRICK, No it is American Spec, Like I was telling JGV it will go faster once I retune the OBD-II! I can`t wait

Hey, I can get a simple tunning device that I connect to the plug of my car, press the `program` button and 2 minutes after bang!, 300Hp and 410Nm! Hard to beat w/o a turbo! (it costs € 800.00 in Sweden).

I had a 03 vette a few weeks ago, I SO wanted to do 140 on the highway, but how do you explain that to a customer if he ever found out? I keep business away from pleasure

Car looks great! The only thing I would have done differently is the UPPC before the 3M Swirl Remover or replace the UPPC with 3M Rubbing Compound then Swirl Remover then UPP. I cant help you much with the pads cause I dont use them.

    OT...

My dad just got a 2000 528, I believe thats what you have right? I got some angle eyes, real ones with out HIDs, and I tried to hook them up today. I am wondering how you hooked up the turn signal and Angle Eyes cause the turn signal harness is different then the stock ones and the stock ones dont have the Angle Eye hook up. Also how did you get clear turn signals? Thanks!!!

Thanks, no mine is a 98 I have just updated the look so it looks like a 2000 or newer model. Both my headlights/tail lights are made by Inpro, I had to buy an adapter cable from Inpro so that the connections would hook up however, the light circuit in a Euro vehicle is not the same as a US Spec so I had the same problem as you, without getting into a tech article, I had to tap into the cars harness to make it all work. If you email me with some pictures of the lights, who made them and the harness in your car I might be able to guide you through it that way. As far as the clear corners that is the way I bought them, I took out the standard orange bulb and replaced it with the blue one you see, it blinks orange though. With the trim , I went to my local dealer bought all new trim that was unpainte/treated had it painted body color and replaced it.
