** Black Ford Focus Full Detail **

Just did a 2002 Black FORD focus. Used all meg`s products. The car itself was somewhat taken care of but, was the owner over applied wax in the past. When I say over applied I mean he waxed everything from the roof rack to the door handles with excess amounts of product. It was caked on with lots of wax packed into area that where hard to get to and remove.

Used #9 "Swirl Remover" Topped with NXT with Polishing Pad.
Megs all in one leather cleaner and conditioner.
Vacummed and sprayed carpet with REsolve Spray foam and scrubbed with portable carpet scrubber and re-vac`d to finish the interior.
Hit the tires with Meg`s High Endurance.
Completed the engine by spraying Simple Green 5:1 (Waterroduct) rinsed. topped with light coat of tire shine.

He was so happy I will be doing thier other 2 vehicles. Even received a tip. :cool

    Hey Dalmore,

It is wet because it was raining that morning so I decided to take-on the interior 1st while I waited for the rain to past. Which it did, but remained overcast the entire day. Great for detailing. See my finished pics for the dry version. ;cool

As for the multiple pics. I actually cut and pasted the pics into a single JPG file and saved it this way. This is the only way I know to get multiple pics in one message frame.

I was joking around after I saw your double post.

But seriously, your after pictures look wet as well. Nice job.

Hey 57. That car was a mess, but as you pointed out, not too bad for a MI car after winter.
Did the #9 remove the caked-on wax too? Or did you polish with something before #9?
Your nice detailing made the Focus look sporty.
Don`t cry honey. I wasn`t polishing the car again. I swear! :naughty

Yes how did you get off the excess Wax on the trims, etc?

I have yet to see a good wax remover that works perfectly

    HighSurf & Woob,

The #9 Did remove some excess wax, but most of it was in areas that the pad couldn`t get to like along the luggage rack and in between doors fenders and all around the door handles. I also used a small amount of wax & grease remover and a terry cloth towel to reach some of the areas which helped soften the wax and the MF grabbed the bulk of the rest. Figured I would be applying fresh wax anyways. The NXT removed some of it as well. I went over the body of the car and over the door handles, ect. The polishing pad was able to scrub out the old wax and I then immediately wiped them down with a MF towel. The wax was gone.

    Vdubba,
This was a friend and I cut him a break on the price since him and his wife are helping me get started and have also help me out with other things. So to answer your question $140. And this was my Platium service full inside and outside with Engine compartment. Also, for the record I spent almost 8 hours on this car. 140 / 8 = $17.5 an hour. Still not a bad days take home for someone who is unemployed.
