    Water Pressure

I finally got my new pressure washer today, it is a coleman powermate 2400 psi and i noticed that you cant turn the water pressure down, is this too much pressure for a car? i think clean dean has a very similar karcher, so if your out there, please respond, thanks.

It is not a lot of water pressire for a car. Just don`t use it at a straight line stream. If it came with the colored attachments to put in the end I would recommend the green and white ones.

Ya gotta be careful when going after bugs on painted bumpers and mouldings. I promise you that you can do some damage if you go straight into one of those with 2400 psi, and if there`s any kind of blemish or bubble on it you`ll tear it up fast. It`s a sore spot with me, and I`ve learned the hard way by having to repaint a few bumpers.

Also, you can probably get a different series of tips for that wand and lower your pressure (if needed) that way.

    Good Luck

that pressure washer can be adjusted. You need to find the unloader on the pressure washer. The unloader controls the pressure. It located on the pump, should lokk something similar to this.

:yeah it might not have the big black knob on it, but it is usually found on the outlet side of the pump where the water return loop is.

Anybody who has a pressure washer NEEDS to have a turbo tip. It is a attachment that spins, has a cone shaped spray almost like a circle. It spins very fast and is less annoying than changing tips.

that nozzle is designed to clean concrete and bricks. I wouldn`t use it on a car.

I`d recommend a "Roll-over Tip" for those who do a lot of tip switching. It consists of a wand with two tips at the end. One "Rolls-over" the wand with the trigger off, and the tips switch. Sure makes it handy when switching from a 15deg tip for the wheels and wheel wells, to a 40 for the paint.

And I`m with you on that Top, save things like that for steam cleaning undercarriages with the car up on a floor hoist.
