Suggestions For Drying Your Car

When a leaf blower and going super fast are NOT options, what would you recommend for dry your car.

This morning, sprayed the car off on the way to work. Couldn`t get past 40 mph. Water bubbles everywhere. Baked all day in the sun. Not Good.

Suggestions?

Who can argue with the Boss

If you are rally into keeping that fresh detailed look,

in about 10-15 minutes per morning, a little Spray and Wipe with a mf towel or two(depending on the size of your mf) your vehicle will always look great....Dwayne has many sizes in stock too

I`m with Boss and Poorboy. Unless I`ve got heavy dirt and mud (or road salt in the winter) I rarely take a hose to my vehicles anymore. 15 minutes, two or three MFs and about 4 ounces of Spray and Wipe and my F150 is squeakly clean and no drying needed.

For those times when I do use the bucket and hose I LOVE the premium blue drying towels I got from Dwyane. They are waffle weave micro-fiber and are extremely absorbant. One of the drying towels and I can dry the entire extended cab F150 maybe wringing it out once or twice. Best thing is no lint!

The Big Blue is the greatest drying towel i`ve ever used. After you do the outside, you can do a quick wipe on the interior glass and it looks great. I like having a couple of the Little Blues too. A little Blue can do a whole small car with about one wringout in between.

That`s where I got mine. Tag said "big blue", not that it mattered to me what the tag said. I knew it was high quality WWMF.

Use the hose without a nozzle to sheet all the water off then use a Waffle Weave Type towel.

Thanks for the replies.

Man, after reading through these forums I realize I didn`t know $hi7 about cleaning a car!

I always thought, "hey. . . I can Dawn dish soap. It breaks up grease. . . Surrounds It. That`s what I need!"

So really, my question for drying has schooled me on a couple other topics. No need to rinse your car off with water -- simply grab some of that Spray & Wipe stuff, a good MF (micro fiber?) towel, and your good to go. Is that correct?

What about Shams? Do those work as well as the MF`s? I`ve heard the dear skin ones are pretty good too.

I dont know about the spray and whipe. I intensivly was first then sheet off water with hose without nozzle then try with a Waffle Weaf MF. As for the Shams Sonus I believe makes a couple that work pretty good I havent used them but MF`s are what everyone seems to be useing now.

Welp. . .

I`ve made my first purchase, which included the MF`s. Gotta big one & little one. We`ll see how they do!

I thought it was interesting, in the details of the blue towel, "...over 90,000 threads per square inch"

as oppossed to 387 psi? 6,390 psi?

I got a feeling there`s some guy in Korea named `Ping` who`s just about sick-to-death of counting.

I`ve never used Spray and Wipe (`cause I`m up here in Canada) but here`s my prefered drying technique with no "wiping"

Use the trusty old low water flow technique, flood the vehicle with water (This gets rid of 75% of the beads that need to be dried)

Then using a big, thirsty synthetic chamois type thing called "Speed Dry", blot the rest of the water of the top areas by laying and lifting. Then do the sides by laying it or gently slapping it against the panels. Never, EVER any wiping,

Using this method, there isn`t any chance of scratches or swirls from drying the vehicle.

I can wash and dry a full size truck in twenty minutes, so Its worth the extra 5 minutes to me, to be safe.

Just my opinion, `cause I know lots of you have had success "wiping".
