    pro use of QD`s

Do you you guys that detail for a living use QD`s as they are intended (quick touch ups)? I mean, if you go through a full detail and the customer picks up soon after, then is there a need for a QD in the end?

QD is for gettin of finger prints or right after a wash if you still have sealent and wax on the car you can give it some QD and it will bring the pop back out. You dont just QD at the end of a full detail for no reason if the car is perfectly clean with no fingerprints or missed spots.

IMHO, the right QD will add a little extra "POP" to even the best waxes. I also like to do a final QD to make sure that all polish/wax residue is gone, and the surface is nice and slick!

Of course, the only customer I need to impress is me!

Im with the Boss on this topic. I have found that the right QD at the end adds that "POP". Of course it may all just be in my head.I never seem to know when Im finished and like the Boss,I am the customer.

I.M.H.O a little q.d. after a wax job seems to add a little more. After a wash I usually use Q.d. .In my case its Eagle One Wipe n Shine.

I like to think that a QD acts as a sacrificial layer, giving the sealant or wax a bit of protection from week to week. Hopefully, it will extend the life of the underlying protection. Whether it`s actually true, I don`t know. In any case, they do add a nice smoothness to the paint and might help repel bugs and bird```` to some degree.

I use Automagic #49 Body Shine as a QD, as well as a clay lubricant and it works very well. I think it does add a little extra "pop"
