Unhappy HELP! Silver truck to wax, what do I use

I have a 98 Navigator here in the 116 degree heat of Las Vegas. I need to get the max shine and UV protection. I am currently using:

    Mothers car bath
    Maguires agressive clay bar
    4Star Premo paint cleaner
    4Star Premo Paint sealer
    " " QD

I had a black truck just before this and the shine on that was perfect. Could be Iam use to the high gloss of black paint and silver just doe not shine like that.

Is there another step I can do to get more shine.
    Also forgot
    Mothers chrome polish too
I am willing to try new products, looking into Adam`s but that works better on dark paint.

You can try Wolfgang Twins or Klasse twins. The WG goes on and comes off very easy!. The look is about the same. Being the high temps you have to deal with you should stay away from Carnuaba and stick with a polymer. Both WG and Klasse are polymers.
Here is my truck with Wolfgang twins.

Youll have great luck with Four Star, I still have the original Platinum series. Its a great product......I`d go with it, unless you have the wolfgang, but i really think the differences are unoticeable.....

    Thanks,

I still would like to know if I can add another step or add a high gloss in my cleaning process. When would I apply the wolfgangs? or is the Wolfgangs shown as another option. I do agree w/ Jon no carnuaba waxes

Wolfgangs is similar to 4* UPC and UPP you already have. Wolfgang`s tend to darken a finish where as UPC/UPP will give you clear and reflective - stick with the 4 Star combo it`s great for silver!

IMHO I would go with UPP. Reason being the Wolfer`s sealant made my silver darker which I didn`t want while the UPP made it "bling". I would go a minimum of 3 x UPP. Rick

Silver loves UPP ... If you want even more sparkle ... Polish it first with Poorboys SSR1 then the 4* products. Get out the sunglasses

I would agree with the products recommended here............... any high quality sealant like EX-P, UPP, WG, NXT, Klasse, Zaino, and several others would work nicely on the silver paint, as the clear/reflectiveness of the sealants seems to give light colors some "POP".

However, you are correct............... you won`t get the same "POP" out of the silver, that you did with the black paint. Having said that, your Premo sealant may look as good as many of the products recommended here.

Some additional prep (polishing) other than the paint cleaner you are using may also help the look.

    Hope this helps.

If the paint has a lot of metallic flake in it (like my Pewter Silverado), UPP and a good wax topper (Natty`s, Pinnacle, S100) will give it as much pop as anything can.

    Thanks guys!

I put on another two coats of the UPP, what other prep wax would you recomend and what step would it be? Is the 4* paint clean not as good as another brand?

If heat is a concern Poorboys is great in the sun. However all the products suggested here are great. Good luck and post some pics!
