    Thumbs up Meg`s #9, carpenter`s nail apron

    Just a couple of observations.
    1. Just used Meg`s #9 and AIO on the van for the first time since last fall. (New UPP is on the way and will go on next week) #9 impresses me everytime I use it. Seems to do a good job on swirls and I do think the paint is ready for wax right after using #9.
    Anyone/everyone else feel that way?
Since I am using a sealant, UPP, I still went with my AIO after the #9, but I don`t think it would be necessary if I went with a wax.

    2. I bought a two pocket canvas carpenter`s nail apron at the local hardware store, (one that Wal*mart hasn`t put out of business yet), and it is very handy for me to use while polishing the vehicle.
Since I read about someone breaking an AIO bottle and losing the product, I have put all my liquid polishes and waxes in 3 oz. plastic fliptop Travel bottles from Wal*Mart. Those bottles work great in the apron pockets. You can even put a foam applicator pad or a MF towel in one of the pockets. Pretty handy for $2.

Funny you start this threads Charles. I used a BBQ apron the other day with two big pockets on it for that reason and it works like a charm. Better yet I can start the BBQ right after finishing up waxing

I agree............ #9 is a good product, and a lot of people go right to the wax after #9!

As for the apron, that`s a good idea. I still use the old 3/4 cotton "butchers" apron that we used at my buddies detailing shop. However, that was mostly to keep from scratching the paint. The carpenters apron is certainly better to carry stuff around.

    :wait :wait :wait
    Stupid me!
I meant to give the thread a "thumbs up" icon, not the thumbs down.
    :doh
I have been told I don`t know where I am going, but I usually have the problem with left/right, not up/down.

And I always use Klasse AIO after #9, but I`m thinking it really isn`t necessary.
Will I keep doing it? Probably :-p

If I`m using a caranuba based product, I`ll use a glaze (VM/#81/#7/CCC)... But for a polymer post-#9...I`d use AIO or equivalant to ensure a clean surface to allow for maximum bonding
