Thumbs up First time with Meguiar`s #7

    The process:

"Wash" with Mother`s California Gold Showtime Instant Detailer (Car was clean, just a little dusty)

    Apply by hand Meguiar`s NXT
    Apply by hand Meguiar`s #7
    Apply by hand P21S

    And the results are impressive:

    What do you think?

Looking good. Did you grow tired of your secret recipe?

    Eric
    Have you AIO`d today?

    Thanks Eric,

Due to overwhelming words of caution on my secret recipe, I have stopped using it until I get the word from the chemist at Meguiar`s!

None the less, I have never used #7 before, so I wanted to give it a try! I think I like it just as much if not more than my brew! It appears to have more a wet look!

F1 ~ Looking very good. I think you are closing in on your expectations. Curious...Did you apply by hand? How long did you wait between applications? I believe #7 was developed not to get hot...It usually gets gummy if used with a PC..... How was it to take off? 3M IHG is a bit tricky to get used to but once you do it`s fine, and paitence with the "skinning due to the oils.... did the #7 skin?

Curious Polymer under the Glaze and Carbuna. Was your thinking to lay the NXT down first due to it`s cleaning capabilities? I like that "out of the box" thinking. That`s the beauty of Detailing...there are so many combinations and we are only limited by our own creativity.

Nice...I think it`s better using products as intended at least on your "ride". Have you considered purchasing a hood or fender from the salvage yard and work like Grandpa Munster in the basement?

    Crobar,

    Thanks for the comments!

I think you are closing in on your expectations
Yes...but I still need something more to say I have reached the max with my ride! Always the one raising the bar, it`s a little difficult when you are your own worst critic...lol

    Did you apply by hand
Oh Yeah...I never apply anything by machine until I know what it can do and understand it well with my hands! Unless its machine only product, my hands get `wet" with it first!

How was it to take off? 3M IHG is a bit tricky to get used to but once you do its fine, and patience with the "skinning due to the oils.... did the #7 skin?
#7 did not skin for me! It did smear and streak like all hell, but I found that removing the bulk with a terry towel and then follow up and buff with a M/F was a great method! Once I had that figured out, it was pretty nice to work with! It`s amazing that on the side done and the un done side, you can see how much deeper and wetter the done side is! A real treat for the eyes!

Was your thinking to lay the NXT down first due to its cleaning capabilities?
Well...yeah sort of...I new it would clean a little more than my quick shot of QD, but I love the way NXT adds depth and darkens the color of black! That was the real reason...drama...lol

Have you considered purchasing a hood or fender from the salvage yard and work like Grandpa Munster in the basement?
In the darkness of the midnight hour, I sneak about my `hood and do a little `body snatching" (Car Bodies that is....lol) You can hear them faintly whispering in a muted voice...clean me...clean me...clean me .....

How about breaking the seal on that jar of Souveran? I bet that will add some "drama" to your life! Your not think of using "the little blue pill" in your mixtures are you?

    Crobar,

Your not think of using "the little blue pill" in your mixtures are you?
Nah Dude...I`m still a sucker for the Red Pill....lol

Yep.....Got to break out the Souveran! You`re right...my problem is I have so many combo`s on the go! All have their plus and minuses! I want to wait until I want to do a Klasse AIO & SG & Soveran next round...lol

All these products! Arghhhhhh... I should sell them on e-bay and just pick three things that I like and use only them! Sheeesh..you just reminded me of what a stoopid man I am for buying all this stuff and not having used it all as yet...hahahahahaha

    rabbi,

Thanks for the prop`s! I`m pretty happy, and as mentioned before, I`m slowly closing in on what I will finally deem "the best" that my car will ever be!

Are you really expecting an email about your product mix from Meg. That`s pretty cool.
