Default clear coat gone

Hi,
have been using Mothers for years and love it, however I have an issue and could use some help...
I have an 07 Focus that appears to have had the clear coat worn off on the roof. Is there a product I can use to protect it for the next several months through the winter until I have it repainted in the spring?

Thanks in advance.

Once the clear coat has failed, the only proper fix is a repaiint.

You can keep the area waxed, but it's going to need repainted.

thanks,
yes, it needs repainting and looks like hell, but rubbing on something like carnuba is easy going on but hard to remove. In the interim, I wondered if there was an easy on/off for temporary protection until it is repainted.

Depending on the area size, you could look at a rattle can of clear - mask/cover the adjacent area, and spray lightly in several coats. Very light sanding (2-3,000 wet) and then polishing to bring the gloss up and even it out would help.

It would look bad, but at least offer some protection until you're able to get it painted..
