Possible to apply paste wax right after EX/EXP application?

Can something like Natty`s Wax be applied say 1/2hr after applying Ex or EXP?
I`ve seen some people say to let EX "cure" for 24 hrs before topping. Others like ScottWax on Autopia apply a topper right away with excellent results...
So, does the time factor matter at all?

You certainly can top just about any product with any other product (within reason of course) as soon as you like........ if you wish. One certainly can`t argue with ScottWax results!

However, I think maximum results are achived by allowing any wax/sealant to bond/cure. Is the difference between allowing cure time, and not allowing cure time that much........... who knows? :dunno

I think some professional detailers top right away because they can`t hold onto their customers` cars for a second day. It`s best if you can wait 24 hours. I prefer to wait a week. When I used Klasse SG as my primary sealant, I experienced a couple hazing episodes when topping with carnauba too soon. I learned to wait until the following weekend to apply the carnauba topper.

I know Scottwax has done it too. I think what you really get by not waiting is a blend of the two products as they will set and cure together overnight...
life is short ..do it while you can

awd330 - I`ve got a hazy SG car right now!! I think I put it on badly - too thick and very unevenly. Just picture a newbie mistaking thin coat for one pass with the applicator and I think you`ll be close. Looks like I have to get the SG off - will AIO do that for me?

Yes, AIO should remove the SG. That`s what I had to do - used AIO to strip 3 coats of SG + carnauba topper and started all over again.

Use EX or EX-P. No problems.
Dream big and be willing to do the work to get there.

I agree, Jim. I don`t use SG any more except on my wheels (just trying to use up my supply).
