    4* Rubber Vinyl Protectant?

i was thinking of getting some 4* Rubber Vinyl Protectant to use on my exterior black trim. But I seen where it is water based. Doesnt this mean that it wouldnt work on exterior or am I wrong?

Just because it`s waterbased, doesn`t mean you can`t use it on the exterior.

Allot of products are water based. I for one thing that the PB trim restore is a better product for what you are doing. I`ve used it and love it on plastic trim.

I use 303 on practically everything rubber/vinyl. It has a lot of protection for my bed cover.

I have trim restorer on the way and that`s what I`ll use on my trim.

Water-based for trim is actually better than petroleum based, as it will not promote cracking and/or dehydrating. Sure, you might have to apply more of it over time (doesn`t have the durability), but the way they make them these days will make it look like a petroleum based product.

    Hope this helped!

Just used PB Trim restorer for the first time on some black trim ...
All I can say is that stuff is sweet ...
I rubbed it in a little bit and then after it set for a few minutes went over it with a MF and the trim looks better than new. Of course the vehicle is only a couple months old but what an improvement. Can`t wait to try it on some older cars.
