    03 Black Jag with swirls

Well, I finally got my PC and its awesome! Did my dads 5 series, and applying the polish (car brite Foam Pad Polish) was so easy! Now for the questions, I have a lawyer who has a 03 black Jag, only had it for 6 or 7 months, and its got some good swirls etched in the paint. As soon as you look at it in the sun you can see them easy. Looks like its from washing with a dirty mitt or something, and in circular motions! So, he wants me to get them out. Here`s my plan, some opinions and advice would be much appreciated.

    Wash
    Clay
DACP (with PC using Polishing Pad on 4.5?)
#9 (with PC using Polishing Pad on same speed)
    Vitreo Sealant

Is the DACP to harsh for such a new car? Should I use a cutting pad, or is that too harsh too? How long does applying DACP take per 2x2 area? I`m a little nervous using the DACP for the first time, and I just dont wanna screw up this Jag! Let me know what you guys think! Thanks.

Yes the dacp i belive would be too harse, we have to see the finish to reallty determine what to use but i would just use the # 9 that should do the trick for the swirls. or go grab some poorboys ssr2

Rule of thumb is to use the least aggressive method first. If they are really just "carwash spiderwebbing", then a finer polish is indicated...

Where`d you come up with "Vitreo Sealant"? Why?

I found the vitreo sealant at a detail supply store here in Raleigh, NC called Majestic Solutions. Its awesome stuff, very similar to UPP, just easier for me to access. Can be layered and gives an awesome shine. I can also get it in larger quantities. So overall, just stick with #9 then I guess right? Do you work it in until dry just like the DACP and then buff off the residue?

Hey ABCDetail! I`m in the RTP area along with a few other members on here. DACP might be too strong for a new car as many other members have said.

Where in Raleigh did you find a detail suplly store? What products do they have? I`ve tried looking on citysearch briefly but found nothing.

Stick around on the boards! I hope DC can help ya even more in the future. :hippi

Majestic Solutions had a booth at the recent New Car Expo in Raleigh....I stopped to look, but wasn`t really blown away with their offerings. I don`t think they have their website up and running, but I`ve seen their tv spot on Saturday Spike TV.

    Just my .02 in Cary...

Cool, thanks for the advice. I live in Cary, as I`ve mentioned before, so it`s nice to see fellow car care enthusiasts are around here. Majestic Solutions is off of New Bern Avenue in Raleigh. The number is 212-1150. Call them for the specific street name cuz I cant remember. Overall, thier stuff is good if you need it in bulk, probably cant compare with meg`s and poorboy`s, but like I said you can get it in bulk and reasonably priced.
Oh yeah, so do I work in the #9 until its powdery at 5 on the PC? And use a Polishing pad? Thanks.

Depending on the severity of the swirls, #9 may or may not take care of them. DACP is definitely going to be more aggressive, and may be needed if the swirls are deep.

If you can get by with just #9, then yes, I would work the #9 in until it`s powdery. A polishing pad and a setting of 5 would be fine.
