    Detailed my truck today

Well, I spent a few hours on my GMC today. First time user of the clay bar and Zaino I used z1 and z5 (2 coats so far), great product One thing though, having paint this clean shows even the most minute imperfetions

Here are a few pics, not bad for 83K miles

    Thumbs up

    TruckTechniques,

Super Job! The Zaino looks really nice on your truck, and is a fine product line. You are correct, Zaino, like UPP, is very clear and will show any defects/imperfections. If the imperfections came from the factory, there`s probably not a lot you can do. If the imperfections are scratches, swirls, or stains, you need to deal with them before you start the Zaino. process.

BTW, nice job under the hood too!

Just a standard store bought engine degreaser, elbow grease and and good old Armor All, yes I still have some left and save it for under the hood stuff

Boss_429 - Yeah, it shows the scratches and chips from 83K hard miles
Most of the swirls and light scratches were eliminated with Meguiars #9

I wish I could get engine bays to look that good, it seems that no matter what I always have cruddy residue over everything. Unless I take it and powerwash it.
