    Muffler/Tailpipe extension

I know it has probably been on here a thousand times, but can anyone tell me how to get a muffler and tailpipe extension looking clean and shiny.

I have a 2000 Accord and the muffler sags down under the rear bumper like it was a designer`s afterthought. I love the car, but this has to be something they missed in the design office.

Anyway, it`s dirty and stained and kinda ruins the look of the whole car.

    Any help??

    Much appreciated.

PS: BigRon - tried "NuFinish" but it didn`t make a dent.

    Thanks guys.

I used Poorboy`s Pro Polish last night on a 300Z`s pipes and they came out great. Mother`s metal polish also works awesome.

If I have a really difficult specimen I like to use a small wad of Eagle One Never Dull and then saturate it with a few drops of PB`s PP. It does some amazing work.

Awesome work `stainbuster`. Hope that I can get somewhere close to that!

Thanks everyone for the assistance. I am going to tackle the Honda today.

If I ever figure out how to use this camera of mine, I will post some pics

    Y`all have a good day.

I also do a clay bar application whenever the little black spots appear.

I have a SS Gibson exhaust tip and the clay bar does a great job of getting the little black spots off the tip.....then it`s on to PP/EX-P.

Would this work on an aluminized tailpipe section? I had a custom exhaust put on my car about 2 years ago and the muffler shop didn`t have any tailpipes that I liked, so I have had just an angled aluminized piece for the tailpipe after the muffler. Doesn`t look too bad as it kind of tucks up under the bumper so it isn`t really noticeable. I might try some wet-sanding if I get the time to polish it up.
