Default Remove film from inside windshield

The inside windshield of my car is streaky and has a film on it that I can not remove. I have tried Windex, alcohol and vinegar and the film is still there. What can I use to get clean?

So that's your 1996 Accord?

How long have you owned the vehicle and when did it first appear?

Have you tried cotton terry towels?

Our California Gold Chrome Polish and a cotton terry towel would be worth a try in a test spot. Scrub it good; use as directed.

LOL, sadly no. It was hit (not my fault) earlier this year. Now I have a used 2013 CRV and the previous owner was a smoker.
Chrome Polish is safe to use on the interior windshield?

Chrome Polish is safe to use on interior glass (just not on aftermarket applied window tint film). Years ago we called it Chrome & Glass Polish.

I apply it with a little round applicator. Let it dry to a haze and buff it off with good quality towels - microfiber preferred.

Take care not to get it on the trim around the window - it would probably stain.
