Which Cleaner for OEM wheels

Hello,

New BMW Z4 (OEM 290 wheels). Sorry but confused between two products and worried as one carries a no use warning.

Mothers® Aluminum Wheel Cleaner
vs.
Mothers® Wheel & Tire Cleaner

I am looking to remove brake dust and road grime. Don't mind using a brush as well to remove dirt.

After cleaning, I use Mothers Spray Wax to give the wheels a nice shine.

Leaning toward Aluminum Cleaner, but want to check with the experts.

You can use either wheel cleaner.

The #06024 is actually called Polished Aluminum Wheel Cleaner, but it is an old favorite for factory coated wheels as well. It used to be called Wheel Mist All Wheel Cleaner. It's a mist-on, hose-off product. For cleaning tires, try our Back-to-Black Tire Renew first.

The #05924 Foaming Wheel & Tire Cleaner is also safe for these factory coated wheels, but it also cleans tires. It's got a foaming spray, and to increase coverage I recommend a brush for the tires and wheels (especially for trucks with taller sidewalls).

Often we see the #06024 formula working better to remove BMW brake dust, but YMMV, but I'm sure you'll be happy with either one.

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't think about cleaning tires. After cleaning the rims, I have brushed on the old FX Tire Shine.

Going to try the Aluminum Wheel Cleaner. Any recommendations on Tire dressing?

Tire dressing is a personal choice. If you like the FX Tire Shine, you can get the same formula at AutoZone as M-Tech Tire Shine by Mothers.

Or you can also use our Protectant.

Both of those offer protection as well as a mild shine, though to some extent it's more of a natural look.

If you want shiny, try our Back-to-Black Tire Shine.

Hah, I never thought of brushing the tires to spread Tire Cleaner. The bottles I've had finished up too quickly.
