Faded interior trim

We've got a used 2010 CR-V that has a really faded, marred center console. I've tried Back to Black on it, but that didn't help. I looked into outright replacing the entire center console, but that's $$$$

Any ideas how to restore this? Could I maybe spraypaint it? Or is there a different detailing product that would help?

Faded interior plastic is tough. There are companies that make interior trim spray paint - you could look in to that. Years ago it was Mar-Hyde Talsol. I'm not sure if they're around any more.

An alternative would be to scour junk yards and eBay for replacement pieces. AS Guz mentioned, pics would help.

Keep in mind paint won't do anything for the marred finish, and it's about impossible to match the grain after sanding.

My CR-V is doing the same thing.

Years ago I used Mar-Hyde and it worked great, but I could not remember the name of it, now thanks to Forrest I'm going to try and find it.

That looks more like a stain, perhaps sunscreen transferred from your arm?

If it's molded black/grey plastic, try our Back-to-Black Trim Cleaner.
