Default Clay Bar on Plastic/Chrome Trim?

I just purchased and used the clay bar to remove some spray paint specks that are all over my car as a last-chance effort to repair it myself before shelling out hundreds for a professional detailer. It was fantastic! It removed 98% of the spray paint and what is left behind is not even noticeable if you didn't know it was there in the first place.

My question is, can I also use the clay bar on the chrome/plastic trim around my grille and windows? I noticed a few other threads mentioned it would work on headlights, but didn't see a specific mention for any other kinds of trim.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to waxforum!

If they're smooth, shiny pieces, yes the clay bar can be used.

As with the paint, just make sure to use an adequate amount of lubricant.
