Default Using Spray Wax for glass

A coworker told me when he details his vehicle he uses spray wax on the windows, to keep the windows quiet and smooth when they go up and down against the anti-rattlers. The windows don't ever look streaked so I'm assuming he just lightly coats them. Would Spray Wax or Showtime work on glass or is there a better alternative? I've always used a suitable cleaner like Windex or an automotive-equivalent. Thanks.

I clean the exterior of my windows by claying to remove any contaminants on the glass. I will use a compound, polish or water spot remover to clean up the glass a little more with my porter cable. I then use a spray wax such as reflections once a month to add a layer of protection which allows for water to bead and sheet of easier. In between glass cleaner is all you need.

The new Revision Glass+Surface is not only a great glass cleaner, but it helps with smudging and water repellency.

Personally, I keep Spray Wax for the painted surfaces. For deep cleaning of automotive glass, our California Gold Chrome Polish does a great job. Claying is a great way to remove contaminants stuck to the surface like overspray and old bugs.

Showtime is pretty good for cleaning glass and you get the added bonus of a cinnamon air freshener!

While Showtime can work on glass, don't confuse it with a glass cleaner.

I agree for the interior a dedicated glass cleaner would be best.
