Default Polishing motorcycle wheels with black and aluminum finishes

I used the aluminum/mag polish on my motorcycle wheels. They are partially aluminum, and partially black. the polish did a great job on both surfaces. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? The wheels look better than when I bought the bike!

Welcome to Wax Forum!

So long as the polish turned black on the "aluminum" portion, you are using the right product for that finish -- bare aluminum.

For the black finish, or if the above did not turn black, use our California Gold Synthetic Wax or our Plastic Polish. Metal polished are too harsh for routine use on paint

triumph865,

I moved this to a new thread because the product discussion on the original thread was spray-on hose-off cleaners; your discussion pertains to polishes.
