How do you guys clean/treat leather seats?

I was thinking just using 4* Platinum Ultimate Leather Cleaner followed by 4* Ultimate Leater Conditioner.

Could I use the Conditioner alone, or do I need to use the cleaner everytime?

How do you guys approch leather seats?

About once a month, I clean and condition the leather in the Grand Prix. 3.5 years and it still looks new.
The 4 Star leather conditioner is what I am presently using. Seems to work good and smells good, too. The 4 Star cleaner I haven`t tried. Right now I use 6 parts water with 1 part Woolite. That mix seemed to be good enough for one of the better detailers in Texas, so I figured it might be good enough for me.

    Clean then condition.

You don`t want the dirt on the seat to soak into the leather with the conditioner which has oils that are supposed to soak in and moisturize or condition the leather. If you don`t clean first the conditioner will open the pores of the leather, like it`s made to do, and the conditioner and dirt will all soak into the pores of the leather.

    Clean....then condition. :beat

Clean, then condition is a good plan, but what`s with all the body oil, sweat and stuff?
    Just what is this stuff?
And just what is it you guys are doing in your car to get all this body oil and sweat?
Normally, I am clothed and have the air conditioner on.

    Lexol!

I use the cleaner and then use a damp rag to wipe off the excess solution. Then I apply the Lexol with my bare hand. I can feel where the conditioner hasn`t been worked in better. I apply it reasonably heavy and allow it to soak in for 15-30 minutes. Then I buff it off. It isn`t slippery or phoney. I smells like new car leather!
I can always get there from here!

I just used Megs. Cleaner and follwed it with Megs. Conditioner today on Lincoln Navigator. The results were good and it has a pleasant smell to it ... like leather. Yeah that`s it. Seemed to leave the softer and smoother too!
The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price.
