Exclamation If U bought E2K for the DA READ THIS!!!

    Dear Customers,
It has come to our attention that a problem with the security of the E2K adapter to the 5/16 adapter may occur if the parts are not VERY TIGHTLY secured before buffing! The two adapters must be screwed onto eachother with alot of force in order to make sure that the violent vibration of the PC does not shake it off. In order to counter this issue we are highly reccomending the following remedy. Purchase the LocTite brand fastener product numbers 270 or 271 high strength thread locker adhesive and follow the directions. Place the product between the large 5/8 threads of the 5/16 adapter and the Edge2000 adapter. This will permenantly prevent the disengagment of the adapters. According to the manufacturer "is designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Typical applications include the locking and sealing of large bolts and studs" In the near future we will be providing a single unit adapter with the 5/16 adapter already assembled, but for those who have already purchased the system we strongly suggest this Loctite method for added security in addition to secure hand tightening. If you have any questions or need to find your nearest LocTite distributor please contact us at the number below.

    Thanks,

If you have any problems finding the LocTite let me know but most hardware stores will have the 270 or 271.

    E2K

    Aaron

Sorry to hear of the minor problem of the adapter.

Your effort to alert everyone on this issue is what customer service should be!

Honestly, there should be no problem for those attempting to find the Loctite. Makes sense that if it was two-piece, some type of thread sealant should have been applied by a user.

Keep us informed as time goes by as to the newer version. Looking forword on the new revision and the pads.

It`s about time someone came up with such a great tool for both the rotary and PC. Many thanks as I used the rotary ones for some time!

Keep up the good work and thank you for your customer service!

I`ve had no problems with the connector assembly on my E2K DA pads, but I will be adding the LocTite as a precaution. Thanks for the heads up Aaron and Dwayne!

I`m still looking for the right Loctite product. Tried 2 Home Depots and a local hardware store with no success. Will try to hit Lowes sometime this week.

Jstn - Where was the Loctite located in Lowe`s? In the glue section?

Your local auto parts store might be a better bet.
Loctite is used more by mechanics than home improvement people.
