    A detailers REAL nightmare

I detailed a 03 corvette today. Since I offer free pickup and delivery, My client took advantage of it. After completing the exterior, I got in and realized I was driving a car with a LOADED 44 magnium between the seats, a throwing knife, and a bottle of Viagra. I could have gone to jail for the loaded gun. Not to mention, you can go deer hunting with a 44 caliber gun. But the viagra is what scaired me the most. (kidding) Ill show pics as sood as they get developed.

no really if you are doing P/U and delivery make sure they take ther valuables out before and even make them sign a release for personal property...

I don`t offer the pickup and delivery like you do; However, I often detail cars that have a loaded handgun in them (usually under the driver`s seat)... One thing to remember is to never touch the gun - They might have just killed someone with that gun, and guess whose fingerprints would then be on it if you touched it...

Since many of my detail jobs are at the customer`s home or office, I usually go get the customer and ask them to move the firearm to the trunk... or if they are unavailable I detail around it and offer an explanation later...

    Onthespot

p.s. I think that a REAL Detailer`s nightmare would be discovering a body in the trunk...

I usually offer p/u and delivery unless the customer is over 15 miles away then it is a negociated thing. I always put any customer property in a plastic bag in the trunk and be sure to tell them that you did so.

I like corvettes so much I wouldnt need the viagra-LOL.

I found a loaded 9mm in a truck last thurs. I cleared it (removed mag. and cleared the chamber) then put it back where I found it after I cleaned the area. As sson as I was done I informed the client about it.

I love it!!!! Corvette, big gun, lil gun (if you know what I mean).

His lil gun had to be lil and was making up for it with the vette and 44 caliber.

I NEED TO SEE THESE PICS, I MEAN NEED!!!!!!!!!!! FUNNY!!!!!

Seriously, did you inspect the car before taking it from the client? It`s a good idea, it can save you many headaches...

I did clean a car once with a loaded Desert Eagle .50AE below the seat. I got a cloth, dropped the mag, cleared the chamber, popped the round back into the mag and just went on.

The jokingly said that I should have "detailed" his gun for him. He wanted to know what it looked like waxed.

Got to love it when the Germans copy American engineering.

"Well we have this small car with a really efficient engine in it that performs well, and gets good mileage." "Fuel mileage? HA! Cut that stupid thing out, shove a V8 in there, and lets go burn rubber baby!"

    God Bless America!
