    Question First PC Detail Suggestions

I`ve just purchased my first Porter Cable (7336) and want to get out an order for supplies so I can detail my car this weekend. I have:
`91 Accord (blue-green)- This one is being sold and shines nice now, never been machine polished -a few trouble spots that are more than the PC will handle
`91 240sx (Silver)-Again, great overall condition, but 2 panels have scratches visible in clear coat?...can`t feel them, but look like ghost sctratches under clearcoat or something. this is where I hope the PC will help out.
`01 Pathfinder (Pearl White)- Perfect, minor swirls.

    I`m Planning on getting -
-5" velcro Back Plate to use with my 6" counter weight.
-Menzerna intersive polish - for scratch removal and polish.
-Poorboys polish with carnuba - for deep look and protection.
-2 CMA orange power pads (because they work to both cut and polish pretty well)
    - Finishing pad for PwC

I`m on a limited buget (can shell out extra $$ after I sell the accord) and am looking for products that will work well on all three cars....and require only the two applications to complete (wishful thinking).

Think what I listed will work? Are there better options to meet my goals?

    Thanks

The polish that you have should be OK to get the minor swrils out with a cutting pad. (orange) Then the PB to follow up with that will give you a great shine.
If you have a sealant to follow that up it would be great or a good paste wax for additional shine and protection.

Your on the right track, good luck with the PC they are the bomb

I have some 3M Fine cut rubbing compund already to try out on anything that the Menzerna Intensive won`t take out.

That`s what I would use for swril remover with a cutting pad then follow with the PB P-w-C. I like the 3 M compounds they kick butt

If i use the 3M fine cut Rubbing compund, then can I also use the orange power pad to apply the PwC for more shine? Or will a finishing pad (non abrasive) work better to apply PwC.

Will I be missing an importnant polishing step - will the fine cut dull my finishes?

How about sealants like EX..most apply by hand, correct? how long...a wipedown or a long application process?
    Thanks
