    Top of the Line Detail

    Hey guys,

I had an opportunity to detail this 1998 Jaguar XJR a couple months ago try the new Top of the Line (TOL) and Hi-Temp Products I bought from Top of the Line You will see on this page the Jag I did along with a 2004 Range Rover at the bottom.

I have hyperlinked all these products for you to read about.

For the paint, you can see there were a bit of swirls into it (and that`s an understatment). After claying with Adam`s Polishes Clay bar, I started with Hi-Temps Light Cut with a Green Edge pad on pc setting 5.5. It worked in very well with minimal dusting and absolutely no marring.

From there I still had some swirls remaining, so I then used Paint Perfection Glaze with a blue Edge Pad with PC setting on 4. I had absolutely no swirls remaining!! This product has the above Light Cut as a base and then they tweak it and add a polymer sealant!! This stuff really does polish and leaves a lasting protection!! It`s like none other All In One product I`ve used in the past.

I wanted to top off this Burnt Orange/Fiery red color with some carnuba, why notTop of the Line`s Trade Secret. I had heard so much about this stuff, and the results from Jeff Cullup and Anthony Orosco are amazing!! This paste wax is like buttery silk, not like P21S or others. It goes on super easy and is a wipe on, wipe off type product, except you can do larger areas than with P21S.

To clean the wheels, I usedTOL`s Power Wheel Wash. I have been using this stuff on every detail since, and absolutely love it. It is an all wheel cleaner that is stronger than Eagle One`s A2Z or Meg`s Hot Rims. It is inexpensive also, along with many of these items. At $15 a gallon, it dilutes 1:1 and works so well.

The tires got Grape Tire Dressing. This stuff is not greasy and for a gel-type, it dries very easily. It has cleaners into it also, and the claim is that the results are permanent and less and less needs to be applied over time.

I am very impressed with all the products from Top of the Line and Hi-Temp that I have used. They are inexpensive and are easy to work with. The shipping and customer service at TOL was top notch, and I received my products in just a couple of days.

I`d be glad to answer any questions you might have, and would definitely like others who have tried the prodcuts to chime in.

P.S. I am not paid to do reviews like this by any means. I purchased these products at the same prices you see on their website. I truely believe these products to be superior to average

Nice, thanks for the review on top of the line`s products. Not much is said about TOL`s products, especially the paint perfection. The tire dressing looks good and sounds interesting.

beutiful job nick and that is a great color. I ahve a question about the edge pads? How well do megs pads rank with the edge pads for the PC? I use megs pads as of now, i noticed you used 2 differend level polishing pads green and bl;ue and megs only offers cut, polish and fiish pads so should i use the yellow for the light cut and then lower the speed with a nice clean yellow for the PPG???
