I Can`t Just Wash The Car

When I wash my two cars each weekend I find myself always having to do a lilttle more. New coat of wax, sealant, etc.

Most people find just washing the car to be a hassle but me I`m like a pig in mud in the garage doing somehting to the cars.

This weekend I stripped all the plastics and vinly and repllied dressing. Not that it needed it jnust wanted new stuff.

    Anyone else share this sickness

Yeah, and I think we`re all here!!

    Norah

PS - I too spend a LOT of time in my garage, cleaning, polishing, dressing the CAR (get your minds out of the gutter, guys!). It`s just so "peaceful" there and the results are rewarding.

PPS - Maybe we should have new members first post begin with: "Hi, my name is _____ and I`m a shiny car-aholic."
Don`t it always seem to go, you don`t know what you`ve got til it`s gone?

One Sunday morning I was up early working on my car (wash and top coat).
I said `hello` to the neighbor.
Mid day I left and did some things.
Late that afternoon I went back out and washed and did the interior on my wifes car.
The same neighbor came home and said " You`ve been workin on those cars ALL day long".
"We just go to brown bear car wash".
    `That`s OK` I said "I`ll just do them myself. I like it. It`s therapeutic."

I feel the same Beemer. Of course, I get the token comments from neighbors. I just use that to try and tell them why I do the things I do.

Not every time but most of the time I will slap on another coat of sealant. I`m addicted to them.

My new neighbors said something today because the last three weekends friends have brought cars over for me to help them with...it was actually a compliment though...they asked if I was a professional...I told them I`m just an obsessed hobbyist...and now I might do their cars for some $. Some folks work in the yard, garden, etc...some of us detail our cars...gee, I might actually get paid for my "therapy"

Norah & NYV6Coupe, I love your signture quotes...wish I`d thought of them myself!
