Is the pressure washer connected to a pump that is pulling water from a tank?

If your pump sounds normal, then I would suggest checking the unloader valve assembly by unscrewing the pressure regulator and inspecting spring movement.
If you have a solution hose going to the pump make sure it doesn`t have a pinhole in it somewhere. even the smallest hole will make the pump suck air and cause a "no-pressure" problem.
    Good luck

    yeah:
    Get out the instruction manual.
Sometimes the valves get stuck from minerals in the water.
It should have a break down and tell you how to free them up.
I haven`t used it, but there are chemicals you can run through your pump to keep this from happening.
Check at Lowes, Sears or Home Depot.
