Well, I`m about 15 miles away right now, so I guess that makes it okay.

    groebuck,

What added benefits do you think came from the hand application of Pro Polish, prior to the PC application of SSR2? I have Pro Polish, but not yet ventured into the SSR product line because I can`t seem to use up my DA/CP and #9 which I purchased before Steve debuted his SSRs. From what I`ve read, the SSR1 seems to add a bit more gloss than the PP. What about the SSR2? I was interested to read that you went straight to EX, so I assume the SSR2 doesn`t leave any micro marrring, and thus doesn`t need an additional polishing step.

I have been using Pro Polish and EX (currently have 3 apps) with most satisfactory results, although I do have some very fine scratches in two spots which I would like to eliminate.

How are the Edge pads holding up? I have polishing pads from LC and Meguiar`s but would like to add another polishing pad to the mix.

BTW beauty of a Acura, color and style.

I only used the PP applied by a viking applicator just to remove the TS/UPP that I had on the car. That was the only reason to use it. I don`t think it added anything other than to give me a fresh surface to start with. I used the SSR2 with the green pad (I just got this one....I had one before that went kablooey after first use - I have a blue one that has been with me for a few months and it works great).

PP is a very versatile product - it depends what you use with it - awd330 posted that she has seen Poorboy remove a 4 inch scratch you could feel with your finger with nothing more than PP and a terry cloth!

I went with the SSR2 because I had seen some small scratches in isolated areas, but other than that I think it just added an over all refinement to my polished surface. I followed that with PwC then EX and tadaaa .
