What all purpose cleaner did you use? Would you suggest disconnecting the battery?

I`ve used that Purple Stuff with good all around use. I get Castrol Super Clean in the gallon size often from Wal-Mart automotive section. This seems more or less the same kind of product as the Purple Stuff ( called Purple Power I believe) In the past I`ve used it under the hood as well as on stuborn dirt on the undercarriage. I also use it to clean up any oil spots on the garage floor or driveway from oil changes. Good stuff both in diluted and full strength forms.
