$25 REBATE from Porter Cable in April!!

BUT, you only get it if you spend $150 or more on TOOLS (not a polisher & a few backing plates, I checked!!). And it`s $50 back if you spend $300 or more!

As the 7424 polisher is only about $120 most places, I went with the 97366 "kit" for $150

It has the dust collection hood, hose AND a case (!!), and of course, it`s ends up costing only $125 plus $7.50 shipping. The dust stuff is great for sanding, and I figure I`ll want a better backing pad than PC`s anyways!

BUT, if you want the polisher AND you can get another PC TOOL or two (not accessories!!), Coastal has THE best deal on the 7424....only $119 and they GIVE you an extra PC contour backing plate ($18) and a 6" counterweight ($3) as a bonus!!

Lastly, they had a special metal case "made" for the 7424, and it`s only $20 (it sucks that PC dosen`t give you the cheapie plastic case!!).

    Coastal is a great company!!

Yes & no. I`m too new here to have asked, but if he was kind enough to supply 2 invoices/receipts, I`m sure PC would honor the rebate, as places like Griots actually sell it for $180-200

Actually, Dwayne could skirt most/all of the ethical AND legal objections, if he whips up a 7424 "package" with a few pads/backing plate!!! I`ve seen `em at other autocare e-tailers, and I`m SURE it`d pass PC`s muster. The receipt would just say "7424 Kit" and you`re in!!

Jeez, why didn`t I think of that BEFORE I ordered it this afternoon!!! Well, I need it SOON for my new van, and I don`t know if Dwayne can/will make that happen in a day or so.

Oh well, he`ll have to live with my $140 4* order & maybe a good idea for selling hoardes of 7424s this month!
