Water spots (water runoff area)

Hi Everyone,
Since I have run across this forum I have had the best help about waxing. I just had a simple question to post.
There is an area on the back end of my Scion tC that the water runs off. There is still water runnoff once I have dried the car. Iwoke up this morning and noticed a line of dried up water where it runs from the back window down the bumper. It isnt a light water spot, a little bit more intense that your traditional missed a couple of drops water spot.
I plan on giving it a good wash down Monday with some new material that I have purchased withthe great adviced I have recieved here.

I will be out of town for the remainder of the week and wont get to it before then.

Will the dried water trail hurt my paint of finish if left like that in the sun?
