Repair damaged paint

My black 2004 viper was the victim of an egg attack that damaged the clear coat as well as some of the underlying color. What can I do to restore the finish short of repainting?

Is the damage etching from the eggs or scratches from the egg shells?

Pics would help. If etching, you can try buffing with a DA machine like a Flex or a Porter Cable 7424/7336 and a product like our Foam Pad Polish on a foam pad (try a white polishing pad first - if that doesn't work a yellow cutting pad then the white pad would be needed)..

If it's too damaged for that, you may need to seek professional help of wetsanding or the use of a more aggressive compound.
